Responses to Cassan, Iorizzo, Belkind, Lynch and Fuller

Abstract

I would like to thank the editors for inviting me to initiate this discussion about method in Bacon’s Novum Organum, but I would like especially to thank the authors of the five response papers. I’m deeply honored that you took the time to take my ideas seriously. In what follows, I will respond to each of the papers individually. The responses offer a diverse collection of reactions to my paper, from detailed examinations of my claims, to broader historiographical reflections.
